Apollo32 Software Certfied By American College Of Cardiology
Bellevue, WA-March 16, 2001-LUMEDX Corporation (formerly Seattle Systems, Inc.) the leading developer of cardiovascular data management systems, today announced that the company's software, Apollo32TM, has been certified by the American College of Cardiology for use in the ACC's National Cardiovascular Data Registry (ACC-NCDR TM).
"We are pleased to accept certification from the ACC and continue to offer point-of-care data to their vital, national registry," said Allyn McAuley, CEO of the LUMEDX Corporation. "Apollo32 interfaces to ADT and hemodynamic devices and enables automatic population of ACC-NDR data fields as an integrated part of quality cardiology patient care."
LUMEDX is one of the first vendors to earn ACC-NCDR-Certified status. The Apollo32TM product line features a versatile database that provides comprehensive cardiac data integration from sources ranging from hemodynamic monitors to echocardiography management systems. The product is noted for its ease-of use and powerful reporting capabilities, McAuley said.
The ACC-NCDRTM service allows cardiologists, hospitals, and catheterization labs to participate in a nationwide, ongoing data collection program. Participants use this information to improve patient care, support local quality improvement programs, and communicate with regulatory organizations.
Apollo32 helps clinicians maintain a high standard of patient care by automating clinical record keeping, boasting more than 40 modules (from Cardio-vascular Surgery to Inventory) and supporting more than 20 interfaces. The program is also compliant with the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) national data registry, as well as two state registries (NJ and WA), and the Anthem registry (covering the Midwestern U.S.)
LUMEDX is also implementing the full range of Apollo32 point-of-care clinical software applications under the hosted delivery model. Through the versatility of ASP, LUMEDX will offer the power of Apollo32 in a more affordable, remotely hosted environment. Hospitals and clinics will essentially 'subscribe' to Apollo32 hosted and have their data managed for them in a secure, HIPAA-compliant data center.
"Apollo32 hosted is a low-overhead model that's easy to implement and boasts reduced tech support and implementation costs," McAuley said.
