Surgery Module

LUMEDX provides you with an integrated solution that completely supports your Surgery department's day-to-day operations and cardiology data management requirements. LUMEDX's cardiology data management solution provides clinical integration between your hospital's existing billing system and results reporting and the LUMEDX STS Registry and Clinical Documentation products.

Apollo Advance offers the ability to:
  • Provide point-of-care data entry, resulting in less paperwork and decreased data entry errors
  • Collect the appropriate amount of patient data to maximize third-party reimbursement and track clinical outcomes of the your patients having procedures
  • Collect STS data elements for STS Registry participation
  • Collects State or regional data elements for other registry participation
  • Decrease patient length of stay without compromising the quality of care delivered using Apollo Advance reporting solutions
  • Provide graphical history of coronary disease and treatment with the Coronary Anatomy Editor and use graphical input to populate Apollo Advance database fields
  • Use the STS risk algorithm, allowing physicians to risk stratify patient cases and look at OE ratio
  • Generate outcomes reports for demographics and statistical data for aggregated populations and individual physicians
  • Analyze individual physician performance and compare physician-practice patterns

Apollo Advance also communicates with hospital information systems (HIS) to capture admission, discharge and transfer data; procedural information is also exported from Apollo Advance to hospital-wide results reporting system via HL7. Apollo Advance also takes demographic information from hospital information systems (HIS), eliminating redundant data entry that is costly and time consuming and could result in errors.

STS Registry Certification

STS 2.35 Module has all the core data elements and the extended data elements required by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). The data elements can be collected at several locations during the patients hospital stay, including pre-op holding areas and operating rooms; post -op information and follow-up data can be collected by a resource from within your hospital's heart center.

The STS Module has validation rules built in to help ensure accurate data. A validation check is also conducted when the data is harvested so a site can do a final check prior to sending data to the STS. With STS certification, Apollo Advance provides:

  • An STS certified module for collection and reporting of STS required data elements
  • STS predicted risk models for risk stratification of surgery patients
  • State and regional views that allow data collection for the requesting entity
  • A tool to measure patients' outcomes data
  • Customizable solution for outcomes analysis and patient-care modifications
  • Close monitoring of patient care to maintain quality of patient care
