Apollo Advance
Specialty Modules

Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)

  • Collects and reports information for cardiac patients admitted to the coronary care unit for evaluation and treatment
  • Includes data elements for diagnosis, treatment and complications of acute cardiac conditions being treated in the CCU
  • Includes standard reports

Cardiac Perfusion

  • This module is related to the CV surgery module: it is used by the perfusionists to track data elements related to the CV procedure, including equipment use and pump times/rates
  • Collects and reports information for cardiovascular surgical perfusion Includes data elements for procedural information, staffing, times, billing, equipment usage, modified ultrafiltration, blood, and pump information
  • Includes standard reports

Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Cardiac Rehab module will track patients as they progress through regimens of diet / weight loss, exercise, smoking cessation and medication. The module also includes standard reports.

Chest Pain Clinic

The Chest Pain module tracks a patient's entry into the system with Chest Pain and documents signs and symptoms with dates and times of onset

  • Collects and reports information for cardiac patients admitted to the emergency room for evaluation and treatment
  • Includes data elements for diagnosis, treatment and complications of acute cardiac emergencies, including MI
  • Includes standard reports

Cardiovascular Clinical Pathway

The Clinical Pathway Checklist for Cardiovascular Surgery (CV) consists of a standard list of procedures for cardiovascular surgery. The module allows a site to manage data to facilitate optimal outcomes at reduced lengths of stay. Site may track where bottlenecks occur in the treatment process and coordinate procedure scheduling across several departments. Hence, the CV pathway module is designed to:

  • Provide a convenient venue to track procedural efficacy and log custom reports to track progress and improvement of patient morbidity and mortality.
  • Provides means of tracking length-of-stay in order to minimize it
  • Allows tracking of patient progress post-CV surgery
  • Allows tracking of patient progress post-cardiac intervention
  • Can be customized with site-specific clinical pathways elements
  • Includes standard reports

CABG Clinical Pathway

The Clinical Pathway Checklist module for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) allows the site to manage patient care (pre and post-surgery) to optimize procedural outcome and minimize length of stay. The minimum procedural set for a typical CABG is pre-configured, but the module may be customized to meet an individual site's needs. Hence, the CABG pathway module is designed to:

  • Provide a convenient venue to track procedural efficacy and log custom reports to track progress and improvement of patient morbidity and mortality
  • Provides means of tracking length-of-stay in order to minimize it
  • Allows tracking of patient progress post-CABG
  • Allows tracking of patient progress post-cardiac intervention
  • Can be customized with site-specific clinical pathways elements
  • Includes standard reports

Congestive Heart Failure Clinic

The CHF module is designed to track patients with congestive heart failure and provide a means for improving morbidity and mortality

  • Collects and reports information for congestive heart failure clinic
  • Includes data elements for diagnosis and treatment of congestive heart failure

Consultation

  • Allows users to collect billing and clinical information for cardiology consultation services Includes data elements for length of visit and referring physician
  • Includes standard reports
  • Requires purchase of ICD9 and CPT license
  • Holter

    • Holter collects data from a Holter monitor study
    • Collects and reports information for Holter studies
    • Includes data elements for number of channels analyzed, acquisition duration, analysis duration, average heart rate, QRS duration, tape quality filters, and interpretations
    • Includes interpretation library, and standard reports

Nuclear Cardiology - Resting, Stress, and Ventriculography

    • Collects and reports information for registration and indications, planar and rotational perfusion imaging
    • Includes resting, stress and ventriculography exam types
    • Includes standard reports and statistical capabilities

    Pediatric / Congenital Echocardiography

    • Collects and reports information for pediatric resting echo studies
    • Includes data elements for echocardiographic diagnosis and the tracking of congenital abnormalities
    • Includes standard reports

    Pediatric / Congenital Surgery

    • Collects and reports information for pediatric/congenital cardiac surgery procedures
    • Includes data elements for diagnosis information, valve and conduit surgery, post-operative morbidity and mortality information
    • Includes standard reports

    Pediatric Diagnostic & Interventional Cath

    Congenital Abnormalities

    • Add on to the Diagnostic and Interventional Catheterization Module
    • Collects and reports information for diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures for congenital heart disease
    • Includes data elements for staffing, equipment usage and cost, medications, complications, time and schedule type, multiple hemodynamics, summary interpretations, anatomy, ventriculography, and detailed abnormality information
    • Includes standard reports

    Procedure Queue

The Procedure Queue module was developed to allow tracking of patients waiting for procedures. It tracks data including

    • Account/Order
    • Date and Time of Request and Procedure
    • Requesting hospital, physician and department
    • Requested procedure
    • Location of procedure
    • Performing MD
    • Mortality information
    • Notes

    Stress ECG

This module collects data during a stress ECG study. It includes elements for the protocol for study, max workload, max heart rate, max-predicted heart rate, blood pressures and interpretations. ECG also includes reports that can be individualized for the patient.

    • Collects and reports information for stress electrocardiogram studies
    • Includes data elements for protocol type, max workload, max heart rate, max predicted heart rate, diastolic blood pressure, percent target heart rate, and interpretations
    • Includes interpretation library, standard reports and statistical analysis capabilities
