Echocardiography Module
The Apollo Advance Echocardiography Module for Resting, Stress and Transesophageal
procedures adds breadth to the cardiology department's ability to perform statistical
analysis on patient's echo events and related data within one database. The
Echo Module generates data that brings visual aids to the patient's longitudinal
record. Apollo Advance is designed to input static echocardiography (Echo)
images into patient reports. Interfaces to industry-standard waveform machines
bring Apollo Advance into existing Echocardiography arenas with compatibility
and versatility.
Apollo Advance and the Echo Module can also be used as a tandem administrative tool for statistical analysis. The format of an Apollo Advance database (Access or SQL) enables the customer to query for trend analysis on most data elements.
The Apollo Advance Echo Module collects data on Echo studies and includes patient data elements for medications for sedation and medications for the stress part of the echo. The module also:
- Collects and reports information for resting, stress and transesophageal echo studies
- Captures data for pharmaceutical stress echo at baseline, pharmaceutical initiation, peak pharmaceutical, and post-study
- Tracks conscious sedation elements
- Includes data elements for staffing, 2D, M-Mode Doppler, wall motion scoring, and standardized comment libraries for interpretations
- Includes stress data elements at baseline, intra-study and post-study
- Includes data elements for transesophageal echo studies performed in acute and intra-operative settings
LUMEDX has also developed interfaces for the Agilent EnConcert Echo system and the Siemens ACOM system that provide inbound connections to the Apollo Advance database. The EnConcert interface uses a generic import engine to import finalized echocardiography data into Apollo Advance and can be operated in polling mode or batch mode. Data is imported from the EnConcert SQL Server database through an ODBC connection. Images from all interfaces are included in Apollo Advance reports on a post-diagnostic basis and included with a patient's medical history. These MS Word reports are often sent to referring physicians as indicators of patient morbidity.
Clinical Documentation
Clinical Documentation is available for the Stress Echo Module; with it data may be entered into Apollo Advance via user-defined screens for easy data entry and collection. The LUMEDX Clinical Documentation product may include the following based on your selected preferences:
- Notes with pre-set custom statements to track patient care easily
- Selection sets that can be customized to populate discrete data fields within Apollo Advance
- Pop up reminders to fill in vital signs
- Date and Time stamping of procedure documentation system
- Flexible collection of procedure and nurses' notes
- Standardized comments and full editing capabilities. All entries are time-and date-stamped.
